The Joint Leadership of the United States Congress (Congressional Award Board of Directors) gives the Horizon Award a special recognition. The Horizon Award recognizes individuals from the private sector who have contributed to improving opportunities for all Americans by their personal contributions and have set great examples to young people through their success in life. Tom was a wonderful friend and teammate. He was a fan of playing in such a skilled and experienced team and was always working hard when his Magnum schedule was available ..... He was extremely patient with us all and we all enjoyed the large crowds that displaced our normal tiny group of friends and spouses at the national tourney games. ".
