Rene Marie Russo is an American actress filmmaker and the former supermodel. Famous for her stunning beauty, her longevity in the highly popular film industry speaks to her skills and talent as a performer. Her career began as a fashion model in 1970s. Her rise quickly to prominence in this field. She took classes in acting and theater from the beginning of the decade, before starring on stages across Los Angeles, and other areas of California. For the year 1987 Russo portrayed Eden Kendell in ABC's drama Sable. In her first feature film Major League two years after, she played Tom Berengers romantic interest. Many critics were skeptical of her ability as an actor however her steady performance was enough to convince them. She was praised for her role as Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak and also in Outbreak, where she performed against Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. In spite of this, she admits to not having a passion for the acting. In 2005 she took her own self-imposed time off. She then made a comeback with Thor. Rose Namajunas is one of the female athletes with the highest success within the UFC. She was an amateur fightr who was a participant in regional promotions prior to joining Invicta Fighting Championships. Then she signed up for UFC Ultimate Fighting Championships. Her accomplishments both in and out from the Octagon have created her as a household brand since she joined the UFC. Namajunas is a Lithuanian immigrant who was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on the 29th of June, 1992. Rose played basketball and kickboxing as a child. When she was 18 years old, she was able to make her debut as a professional fighter at Invicta Fighting Championships where she took two wins by submission. Dana White noticed this and on December 14, 2014, at age 22, Rose signed with the UFC's strawweight Division. Rose's career has seen extremes, as well as lows but she's always in a position to emerge from it with a win. Rose fought Carla Esparza in April 2015 for the Women's Strawweight title. She won the fight with a technical knockout just three minutes after the start of the round. This was the first female to fight for a title title with every major promoter in the world.
